Manifest – Elsa Sen

Design is a conversation.

Every project begins with listening. Listening to a brand’s history, its codes, its client. Understanding what makes it irreplaceable before proposing anything new. This is how Elsa Sen works — not by imposing a signature, but by revealing what was already there, waiting to be expressed differently.

Craft as a starting point.

Whether designing a surrealist eye for Schiaparelli, translating textile pleats into metal for Nina Ricci, or finding the perfect pear shape at a Saint-Ouen flea market for Oscar de la Renta — the process always starts with a material reality. Elsa works with brass casting, lost wax techniques, rhinestone pavé, enamel, resin inclusions. She knows what hands can make, and designs with that knowledge.

Luxury is in the detail.

A collection is not a single piece. It is a system – pieces that respond to each other, that serve different desires, different occasions, different women. Elsa builds collections that are coherent from the runway showpiece to the commercial earring, from the evening minaudière to the everyday hoop.

Boundaries are invitations.

An existing perfume bottle. A confidential brief. A budget. Constraints are not obstacles – they are the parameters of creativity. Some of Elsa’s most refined work has emerged from the tightest briefs.

Collaboration over solitude.

Elsa believes in encounters. With artistic directors, with ateliers, with craftsmen, with clients. Each collaboration is an opportunity to grow, to learn a new vocabulary, to push the work further than one person alone could take it.
