biography

Elsa SEN is a blend of the French parisian nonchalance, and the oriental resourcefulness of her Turkish origins. From where she comes from, ambition flows through the veins. Not with arrogance, but because you cannot not make it, it is all about willingness. When one of her former bosses told her “we try fitting a square into a circle” for pointing out certain impossibilities while Elsa was grounding as a consultant designer, she decided to create her logo after it.

In the 2010s, her first steps into Parisian fashion studios led her to design textile prints and embroideries for accessories, and then to design jewelry in Lanvin under the artistic direction of Alber Elbaz. The learning went so quickly that she barely realized she had witnessed one of the peak moments of the brand and the fashion history, which everybody reminds her now. The jewel did resonate in her personal history : in the context of modest origins, the paradox is that only a few gold jewels could be kept as valuable personal belongings.

Later on, Elsa happened to witness Daniel Roseberry’s arrival at the helm of Schiaparelli. For about five years, she designed not only jewelry but also all sorts of hardware for garments and bags, building a surreal fantasy through new codes for the brand with the artistic director. Most of the brand identity got redefined after her work.

Elsa felt then like building her own path, and became a consultant in 2023 : she built a client portfolio beyond borders, always designing for the luxury market. For clients like Schiaparelli, Oscar de la Renta, or Tacori, she designs costume jewelry, fine jewelry, evening bags, hard clutches, hardware, gifts, belts, etc.  She has had the artistic direction on a full line for a launching brand. More than anything, Elsa believes in encounters as key steps in life, she expects each collaboration to help her grow and learn.
